Lawnscaping Challenge: Critters Galore sponsored by LAWN FAWN

Challenge No. 90

Good evening!
I have a quick post and another entry for the Lawnscaping Challenge No. 90.
http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2014-09-16T05:00:00-04:00&max-results=4

For the challenge I used:
American Crafts - premium ribbon
EK Success - banner punch
Core'dinations - black cardstock
Flower foam wreath
Light blue yarn
Copic Markers
Lawn Fawn - Into the Woods stamps and dies
Lawn Fawn - scrapbook paper

First I stamped the image on white cardstock. I used Copic markers to color the animals. I fussy cut the animals so there was no edging. I then the coordinating animal die and cut out shadows of the animals using black cardstock. I was trying to find another way to make the animals pop on the paper. I also used my Prismacolor black pencil to fill in any white spots on the image where it needed to be black. I attached the finished colored image to the black cardstock and added the two pieces to the banner, attaching it with pop dots.
Have a great night everyone!

Lawnscaping Challenge #90

Good afternoon!
Today I created an item for the:

Lawnscaping Challenge: Critters Galore sponsored by LAWN FAWN

Here is a direct link to the page so you can see all the cuteness the Design Team has come up with http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2014/09/lawnscaping-challenge-critters-galore.html

A few months ago we went to the FIT store in downtown Houston. You can find items similar to the ones from the Y100 store in Japan. Most of the items are $2, unless marked otherwise. I picked up some cellphone straps to add charms to. I used the Into the Woods stamp and matching die set from Lawn Fawn to create the entry. Other items I used to create this item were: Shrinky Dink paper, Sharpie markers, StazOn ink, and jump rings.

Have a great day everyone!

Second post

I have been working on a craft/sketchbook for our goddaughter, Nicole. Here are some pictures of the project.

I was trying to decide which nautical paperclip to use with the book....I like the whale.
Last year, before the Katy, TX Archiver's closed I picked up some beach theme scrapbook paper. I used my Cricut Expression2 to create her name for the front. The mermaid is from CC Designs.

On the left, my son had sewn the purple paper to create a pocket.

I put a little note in the book so she would know what type of paper was inside. The paper can be used with stamps, markers, paints etc.

This is the back inside cover and pocket.

This is the back cover, it also has some pockets.

Have a great day!:0)

The pattern paper is from Simple Stories, the series is Vintage Bliss. The stamp I used is from Paper Smooches called Party Posse....isn't the little party turtle cute?!

Day Two: July 25, 2014

Good evening!
Here is a picture of the items that are going to baby Mallory.
I am still working on her card. Any guesses on HOW MANY projects are being worked on at the moment?
Here is a picture of one of the pages from the inside of the baby book. The next page has two pockets for mom and dad to put a little something special about the baby.....a photo...saying....thought....

The kiddos start school at the end of August, so I've been playing Cruise Director around here. haha Anywho....I thought it would be fun to do some clay charms. I found the book Make Clay Charms at Joann's and used a 40% off coupon...wooowhooo. If you have elementary school age kids and something to do with them....you have to get this book! All the items you need are in the book.

It is super cute! Below is a picture of my little pink apple I made. I need to find a chain to attach it to my organizer.
Today lil' bit and I went to Target to look for a few items. I found some large paper clips in the office supply area and think they are pretty snazzy.
.......this is what I'm thinking of making with the paper clips. I haven't decided if the owls are the right size or if I need to adjust the size.
For the owl bookmarks I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.
The owls are cut at 2.153 x 2.5.
The cardstock I used is (OLD) Stampin Up: only orange, blush blossom, soft sky, and almost amethyst.

I started following the blog: http://amanda-sheseclectic.blogspot.com/.
The apple and owl crafts I created were ideas I saw on her blog. I am trying to get organized before school starts in a few weeks. The owl bookmarks will be for the kiddos teachers.

Have a great weekend!

Day One: July 24, 2014

Good afternoon!
I decided to create a new blog to focus not ONLY on upcycling items into crafts, but organization as well. If you would like to look at previous craft projects I created, please go to: http://kawaiikrafts.blogspot.com/.

Below, I have posted some pictures of wreaths I have made.

The wreath above was meant for our front door, but my daughter loved it so much I couldn't say no.:P I used different metal die to create this and boy did it take a long time. But I love it. And more importantly, my daughter loves it.:0)

I made the wreath above from my friend's daughter, Emily.

Honestly, I don't remember who I made the above wreath for. Maybe for next months Meet and Greet at my daughter's school.

I think the wreath above was the first design, then  I started making  the yarn wrapped circular foam wreath.

I can't wait to send this one for baby Mallory. I have a matching mini-album to go with it.
The last wreath I made was for my mom.

Ok, that's all I have for today. Hopefully tomorrow my blog page will have a different look.
Thanks for stopping by!
